Fred Jacobs, DVM

Dr. Jacobs graduated from UC Davis in 1972 and has practiced in Willits for over 30 years. He started working for a veterinarian as a high school student and never looked back. He has written many engaging and humorous stories about animals and their people from his many experiences as a veterinarian. He enjoys reading and hiking with his girls on his days off. He is pictured here with one of his adopted cats, Putzi.

Tejinderpreet Nagra, DVM

Dr. Nagra graduated from Purdue in 1998. He first came to the Willits Animal Hospital as a relief doctor in 2009 and then agreed to stay on for a few years. He has a big heart for animals, and a dog of his own.

Mayte

Office Manager and Vet Assistant

Mayte has worked with Dr. Jacobs since 1990 and has been office manager for the last 15 years. Even with all her responsibilities as a manager, she still finds time to assist with routine procedures and client relations. Mayte enjoys volunteering in her daughter’s classroom and various organizations around Willits. She is pictured here holding two of her adopted cats, Max and Putzi.

Amber

Vet Assistant

Since Amber started working at our clinic in 2008, she has doubled the number of pets she has at home. She has a soft spot in her heart for animals in need and has three dogs and nine cats. You may find Amber at the river on hot, sunny days or snowboarding in Tahoe every chance she gets. She is pictured here with her pitbull, Savvy, her fox terrier, Kira, and one of her cats, Boog.

Erin

Vet Assistant

Erin joined us in 2012. She is the one we count on to help hold the more enthusiastic animals or carry large dogs. In her free time, Erin likes relaxing with a good book and honing her photography skills. She is the owner of a boxer, Lily, and a dachshund, Bella.
